Brand new on the coast of Camperduin
Camperduinen opened this summer. Our four apartments have been fully renovated, with new kitchens, fresh bathrooms and a fenced terrace for every apartment. Everything is still new, and you can tell. You will be one of the very first guests to stay here.
What our very first guests said (translated from Dutch):
The apartment is bright, stylish and pleasantly and practically furnished. It is on the ground floor and has plenty of room for a larger family, with 3 separate bedrooms. Recently renovated!
Terrace at the front door, in a side street on the edge of the village. Bikes come in handy. Ideal surroundings for dog owners. A great stay.

What does a holiday at Camperduinen look like?
The beach a ten-minute walk away, the dunes all around you and charming villages within cycling distance. Camperduin is the perfect base for exploring the North Holland coast
your way. Below you will find ideas for things to do nearby and how your days could look.
Day 1: Fresh air on the beach
The wide, clean beach of Camperduin is a 600-metre walk away. Spread out your towel, let the children loose on the big play ship and listen to the sea. On a quiet day, the family beach of Hargen aan Zee a few kilometres further south is well worth a visit. End the day with a drink on the terrace of beach pavilion Struin.
Day 2: Explore the area by bike
From Camperduin you cycle straight into the Schoorl Dunes or along the coast towards Petten. The cycle network takes you past dune valleys, polders and picturesque villages. No bike with you? There are several rental shops in Schoorl where you can hire a bike or e-bike.
Day 3: Hiking in the highest dunes of the Netherlands
The Schoorl Dunes are the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands, with more than 60 kilometres of trails. Follow the Gnome Trail (a favourite with children) or take a longer loop from the Schoorl Dunes Visitor Centre. Bring a small backpack for a break in the middle of the purple heather.
Day 4: Out on the water, paddleboarding on the lagoon
The lagoon of Camperduin is shallow, calm and perfect for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking or surf rafting. At Hookipa Beach or De Jongens uit Schoorl you can rent gear or take a surf lesson, for beginners and experienced surfers.
Day 5: Art, coffee and culture in Bergen
The artists' village of Bergen is a short bike ride away. Admire the Ruïnekerk, browse the galleries and bookshops, have lunch on a terrace and visit Museum Kranenburgh with work by, among others, the Bergen School. End the day at the Sea Aquarium in Bergen aan Zee.
Day 6: Climbing the Klimduin and village life in Schoorl
The famous Klimduin , 51 metres high, literally rolls into the centre of Schoorl. Climb to the top, slide back down and then settle on a terrace in the village. On Tuesday evenings there is a street market in Schoorl, and on Monday evenings a romantic market in Groet. In the mood for fine dining? Book a table at Michelin-starred restaurant Merlet.
Day 7: A day in Alkmaar, the cheese city
Less than half an hour by bike, or by bus 151 from the stop outside, lies Alkmaar. From April to September the famous cheese market is held every Friday morning on the Waagplein. Afterwards, stroll through the historic centre and visit the Dutch Cheese Museum or the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar.
